Tillie’s of Brooklyn, 248 DeKalb Avenue in Fort Greene, offers music and art events throughout August.
Seven Sessions with Nick Noir will be held Fridays, August 15 and 29 starting at 7 p.m. The shows feature the best acoustic talent in NYC. Each evening is themed and features several artists’ performances. Planned evenings include New York Muse, Spoken Word and Song, Political Satire, Alt Percussion, Cupids Corner, Love Songs; Jazz/Folk Fusion and Emerging NYC Poets.

Other musical offerings include, on August 22, Chris Norris and Perpetual Motion Machine, at 8 p.m. with high-energy original compositions from progressive jazz band members Chris Norris, sax; Andrew Ahr, guitar; Chris Davison, drums and Bob Dzieman, bass. The cover is $5; $3 with student ID.
The Exposure Project
From August 18-Septembert 20, Tillie’s presents The Exposure Project, a collective composed of Ben Alper, Anastasia Cazabon, Eric Watts and Adam Marcinek showcasing a diverse array of emerging photography.
Since forming in 2005, The Exposure Project has released two self-published books, hosted several exhibitions throughout the greater Boston area and created an online photography blog dedicated to expanding the discourse of contemporary photography.
