Steps towards more ramps in Brighton

The Brighton Neighborhood Association — which has worked with the Human Rights Commission to address the rights of the disabled for several years — successfully secured a ramp at 1159 Brighton Beach Avenue, just one of dozens of ramps, which have been installed throughout Brighton Beach to accommodate those who can no longer navigate steps to exit their buildings.

“We deeply appreciate the tenants for coming forth on this issue and the landlord for listening. Raising the quality of life has been an important aspect of our mission and we are most proud of the success of this program,” stated Pat Singer, founder and executive director of BNA.
