Every now and then, parents deserve an award.

So, School District 22’s Community Education Council (CEC) spent its last meeting honoring Parent Associations (PA) and Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA) for their dedication to improving schools in Mill Basin, Bergen Beach, Manhattan Beach, Marine Park, Gerritsen Beach and parts of Midwood, Flatbush and Sheepshead Bay.

During the awards ceremony, which was held at P.S. 315 and P.S. 152 at 2310 Glenwood Road, parents were given flowers, umbrellas adorned with the CEC’s logo, and well wishes for their hard work.

Last week’s honors mark the fifth annual PA/PTA awards ceremony in District 22.
