To The Editor:

Thank you so much for giving the prominent space and coverage to the Salem Fields visit by the Kings County Council, Jewish War Veterans, in honor of Memorial Day.

We appreciate being in the front of the publication and the five accompanying pictures. We also appreciate your including information about the solicitation letter for the monument in the Veterans Grove.

This letter is an historical document, and we are going to try to keep a copy of it in the offices of the KCC in the War Memorial building in Brooklyn. I’m glad your readers got a chance to know about its contents, thanks to the good efforts of Matthew Zeidel and Erica Sherman, the writer of the article.

We appreciate everybody’s efforts in making this a first rate report of this event. We also want to express our thanks to Joseph Maniscalco for approving the initial coverage of this event, and recommending it to the appropriate editorial staff members for implementation.

Again, our thanks.
