INVASION! He breaks into home hours after mugging someone

An armed thug, claiming that he had just stabbed someone, robbed two Williamsburg women after forcing his way into their South Fourth Street apartment on Jan. 19.

One of the 26-year-old victims told police that she was entering her building at around 9:45 pm when the robber asked if she needed help.

She said no, but the man followed her into the building, which is located between Keap and Hooper streets, then forced his way into her apartment, where her roommate was watching television on the couch.

He locked the door, claiming he had a knife and a gun, and told the women that he wanted money for a cab — because he had just stabbed someone and needed to get out of the area.

Instead, he settled for swiping a laptop, a digital camera, a gold bracelet, an iPod, two cellphones and $20, and left the apartment.

Earlier in the day, a man fitting the description of the robber threatened and robbed a man in his Seigel Street apartment building at about 4 pm. In that case, he told his 27-year-old victim that he had a knife, whereupon the victim handed over $14.
