Heist times two
A Capital One branch on Fulton Street was robbed twice, once on July 30 and again on Aug. 2.
Cops say a polo shirt-wearing robber entered the bank at Clinton Avenue at 10:40 am on July 30, passed a note to the teller that said, “I have a gun on me. Need fifty-hundred. No dye packs. Blow up money. Nobody will get hurt thank you.” The crook made away with $900, cops said.
Another crook entered the branch at 11:23 am on Aug. 2, passed a note to the teller demanding money, and made away with $600.
Bricked
A jerk threw a brick at a woman in Fort Greene Park on July 30, striking her in the head.
The 46-year-old victim told cops she was in the park at 7:35 pm when a brick hit her in the head. Emergency personnel took the woman to the hospital.
Burgled
Police arrested three people who they say stole three computers from a house on Cumberland Street on July 30.
The victims told cops that the intruders entered the house between Lafayette and Greene avenues at 11:40 am, and made away with three Apple computers. Cops said they arrested three suspects on Aug. 1.
Motor-thefters
A speed demon stole a motorcycle from Clinton Avenue sometime between July 28 and 30.
The 36-year-old victim told cops he left the bike between DeKalb and Willoughby avenues at 8:30 pm on July 28, returning on the 30 at 11 am only to find it missing.
Unlucky number 7
A crook stole a woman’s purse from a restaurant on Greene Avenue on Aug. 1.
The 34-year-old victim told cops she was at No. 7 near S. Oxford Street at 11 pm when placed her pocketbook beneath her seat. She noticed it was missing a half hour later.
Stove-topped
Police arrested a suspect who they say stole a vintage stove on Washington Avenue on Aug. 2.
The 33-year-old victim told cops an intruder broke into his house between Willoughby and Myrtle avenues at 6:15 pm and stole a stove dating back to 1953. Cops said they picked up a suspect that night after the victim gave them his license plate number.
Biked away
A jerk stole a bicycle from a DeKalb Avenue apartment on Aug. 4.
The victim told cops the bike was stolen from his place between Carlton Avenue and Washington Park at 10:05 am.
Tires no more
A crook swiped the tires from a car parked on Clinton Avenue overnight on Aug. 1.
The 35-year-old victim told cops he left his car between Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue at 11:30 pm, returning the next day at 8 am to find all his wheels gone.
Double-phoned
A thief stole some electronics from a man on Greene Avenue early in the morning of Aug. 1.
The 23-year-old victim told cops he was at Washington Avenue at 3:10 am when the jerk approached him on a bicycle and stole his headphones and cellphone.
