Cops: Gunman threatens, robs man

90th Precinct

Southside–Bushwick

Phone purloin

A heartless robber threatened to shoot a guy even after he turned over his phone on Boerum Street on Sept. 30.

The victim said he was walking between Bushwick Avenue and White Street at 12:35 am when a thug stood in his way.

“Give me everything,” the robber said. The victim handed over his phone. The robber then told the guy to very carefully follow orders.

“Turn around before I shoot you,” said the robber. When the victim ran off, the robber ran off toward Bushwick Avenue.

The victim tried to use the phone tracker, but the robber had turned it off.

Street fighters

Three robbers punched a guy in the face on Siegel Street on Sept. 30 — and then ran off with his backpack and his phone.

The victim told police that he was standing on the corner of Humboldt Street at 5 pm when the three guys ran up to him and one of them punched him in the face.

“What you got?” one of them said. All three of them started punching him and kept going until he gave up his backpack and the phone in his hand. They then all laughed at him and ran away.

They got away with his MetroCard, passport, backpack, sketchbook, Game Boy, games, and debit card.

Teenage wasteland

A gang surrounded a 14-year-old boy, beat him, and stole his stuff on Montrose Avenue on Sept. 10.

The victim told police that he was on his way to school at 8:30 am when a group of eight to 10 older guys surrounded him. They grabbed the phone out of his hand.

When he tried to take it back they started kicking and punching him. His mom didn’t report the attack until the end of the month.

Bonnie and Clyde

A pair of robbers forced an old lady into a car and then stole her property on Havemeyer Street on Sept. 26.

The 77-year-old victim told police that she walked out of her house between S. First and S. Second streets at noon and a moment later, a man and a woman forced her into their car.

“Do you have money in the bank?” the woman asked. “My mother and grandmother are sick.”

The old lady told them she did not have any money. They then stole her gold rings, gold necklace, and gold earrings, and kicked her out of the car.

What a butthead

A man was arrested for assault after he allegedly head-butted a cop in the face on Grand Street on Sept. 30.

Police said they saw the 34-year-old man carrying drugs in public between Bedford and Driggs avenues at 1:30 pm and attempted to arrest him. He ran off and when they finally caught up with him, he folded his arms and then head-butted a cop in the face, breaking his nose.

Not nice

Two men are wanted for a suspected hate crime after they snatched the yarmulkes off of the heads of a pair of Jewish men on Bedford Avenue on Oct. 2.

The victims told police they were at the corner of S. Ninth Street at 7:45 pm when the pranksters ran up behind them, grabbed the yarmulkes off their heads, and ran off.
