Becoming a wine snob has never been so easy. The Park Slope restaurant and wine bar Bussaco is giving aspiring oenophiles the chance to become Shiraz specialists with a series of courses taught by Master Sommelier Scott Carney (pictured).

“I want to demystify wine in a way that’s fun, not daunting,” said Carney, who will play the role of professor at his so-called “Bussaco University.”

The three planned classes include “Fizz Ed 101” (May 6); red wines at “The Birth of Terroir: A History of Burgundy” (May 20); and “A Critique of Pure Riesling” (June 10).

The classes cost $50 each — but the lessons are worth the cash, according to Carney, who said he would share reveal sparkling wines from Burgundy that taste just like Champagne, but cost a much less.
