Survivor testimonies, plus a candle lighting ceremony, were among the poignant tributes paid during a Holocaust memorial presented by the Flatbush Park Jewish Center.
The Yom Hashoah commemoration recalled the horrors of one of history’s sinister periods with a commemorative program attended by area dignitaries, veterans and neighbors at the house of worship, 6363 Avenue U.
The Sondra Epstein Choir of the Crown heights Yeshiva sang songs of remembrance and a montage of death camp photographs put a face on the Nazi atrocities.
