Forty−seven years – and still going strong.
A ribbon−cutting and congratulations marked the grand opening of retail giant Century 21 Department Stores’ expanded Home and Shoe stores, and indoor parking garage along 86th Street, between 4th and 5th Avenues.
The celebration culminated a year−long construction project that added 30,000 square feet to the Bay Ridge store, approximately 300 new parking spaces and a new annex connected to the parking garage.
Century 21 opened its Brooklyn and Manhattan locations in 1962, and is planing to open its sixth location in Rego Park, Queens, this fall.
