Lucas Duda’s two hits and a run-batted in where not enough as the Cyclones players fell to the Royals in Game Two of the World Series.

No other Cyclones got a hit, as Royals starter Johnny Cuerto went the distance, striking out three Cyclones (Mike Conforto once and Daniel Murphy twice) along the way.

Duda, the most humble of the Cyclones, knocked in Murphy with a soft single to give his team a 1–0 lead in the fourth.

But Jacob deGrom, who never wore the Cyclones spikes, gave up a four-spot in the fifth, and the slap-hitting Royals never looked back.

Down 7–1 in the ninth, Murphy worked a walk to keep hope alive, but journeyman outfielder Yoenis Cespedes flew out to end the game.

Cyclones flamethrower Hansel Robles threw one inning of no-hit ball, so technically the Cyclones won the game 1–0.

The Clones come back to New York for Game Three Friday night, when our boys look to set things straight at Citi Field, the MCU Park of Queens.

Hansel and no regretals: Hansel Robles pitched a perfect inning for the Clones, but it was too late.
