Child abused
Cops nabbed a teenager suspected of snatching an 11-year-old’s phone as he walked to school on Jan. 23.
The alleged thug and his accomplice trailed the victim and his 13-year-old friend as they walked to school at around 8:15 am, following the adolescents into a bodega on Graham Avenue between Montrose Avenue and Meserole Street, cops said.
Once inside, the crooks grabbed the child’s Sidekick cellphone and fled, but police locked up a 17-year-old suspect the next day.
Division divide
A burglar forced his way into a Division Avenue apartment overnight on Jan. 23 and snatched $500.
The thief pushed his way through the front door of the apartment, which is between Driggs Avenue and Roebling Street, between 12:30 pm and 9 am the next morning, escaping with the cash while the victim was on vacation.
Scary Berry
A gang of thugs pummeled a 36-year-old on Jan. 22 for his cellphone, confronting him on Berry Street between Broadway and South Eighth Street at around 9 pm.
After they punched him in the head and back, he dropped his Samsung phone.
Construction malfunction
A crook hopped over a plywood construction fence overnight on Jan. 23 and heisted a costly Bosch hammer drill.
The thief climbed into the construction site, which is on Devoe Street between Judge and Olive streets, between 4:30 pm and 9:30 am the next morning, and grabbed the power tool — which police valued at $199.
