Tool time

A thief looted $1,000 worth of tools from a city-owned car on Avenue S on Aug. 5.

A civil servant told police he parked the municipal car on E. 18th Street at 8 a.m., only to return later that evening to find a lock damaged and tools missing.

Family fued

A fiend attempted to kill his father with a knife on Brigham Street on Aug. 4.

The victim told police his son entered his house near Avenue W at 10:11 p.m., before lunging at him with a knife in an attempt to end hislife, before high tailing it on Brigham Street towards Avenue X, cops said.

Tough love

Cops arrested a man for punching his girlfriend for not getting into his car on Haring Street on Aug. 6.

The victim told police she refused to enter her beau’s car parked near Avenue Z at 5:00 p.m., when he became enraged and he punched her in the face multiple times, before taking her headphones worth $380, cops said.
