Thief pulls off a pre-dawn robbery of a parked car

Car break in

Some marauder broke into a car parked on E. 31st Street sometime overnight on Nov. 17.

The vehicle’s owner told police that he left his car near Avenue K around 4 pm, and returned to find the passenger side window broken into. The bandit got away with the victim’s credit cards and an identification card, according to the report.

Bold runaway

A belligerent nogoodnik nabbed a walkie talkie from a security guard at a shopping center near Avenue U and E. 55th Street on Nov. 19.

The guard told police that the crook was being uncooperative when he was asked to leave the center around noon, and then lunged at and fled with the pager. Officer say another patrolman recovered the device but not the thief, according to police.

Quick grab

Some pilferer jacked a designer bag from a car parked on Ralph Avenue on Nov. 16.

The vehicle’s owner told police that she left four-wheeler between Avenues M and N around 3 pm and left her handbag inside. About 15 minutes later, she returned to find the bag containing her phone, wallet and checkbooks missing, according to police.

Broken windows

Someone broke into a car parked on Flatlands Avenue sometime overnight on Nov. 16.

The car’s owner told cops that she left her car near E. 56th Street around 8 am and the next day discovered several items left in the car gone. The bandit got away with a laptop, some cash, and several tools.
