Huge clearance

A thief stole $4,520 from a woman’s bank account at a Ralph Avenue bank on July 6.

The victim reported that she noticed the large sum was withdrawn via cash dispenser at the bank near Avenue J around 5:40 pm, according to police. But cops said that the woman’s cards were in her possession when the withdrawals were made.

Seen and taken

A marauder lifted a laptop from a car in an Avenue U home improvement store parking lot on July 14.

The vehicle’s owner told police that she parked her car at the space near E. 55th Street around 4 pm and upon returning an hour later, discovered her passenger-side door damaged and her computer missing, according to cops.

Money grab

Someone stole a wallet from a car parked on E. 51st Street on July 15.

The victim told cops that he parked his car near Avenue J around 4 am, and when he returned four hours later, the driver’s-side window was broken into and his money-pocket was gone, according to police.

The nogoodnik got away with the billfold containing four debit and credit cards, which were used to make a transaction, according to cops.

Car break-ins

Looters broke in to two cars parked near Marine Park in separate incidents on July 16. Here’s the rundown:

• A prowler swiped a pocketbook from a car parked near the green space at Avenue S and E. 32nd Street at 2:30 pm.

The victim told officers hid her bag under the passenger seat before exiting and locking her car. When she returned at 5 pm, her purse was gone, according to cops.

Police said the bandit used two of her credit cards at a department and made transactions totalling $850.

• A brigand broke into a vehicle left near the intersection of Avenue U and E. 33rd Street at 2:30 pm.

The four-wheeler’s owner told police she returned at 6 pm to find her wallet missing. Police said that no signs of damage were found on the vehicle and all her debit cards were cancelled.
