Close call
A home invader almost caught in the act made off with $550 in jewelry from an 11th Avenue home on March 30.
The thief climbed through a window into the home between 74th Street and Bay Ridge Parkway in Dyker Heights just after 4 am and grabbed a Bulova watch, earrings, and a necklace, police said.
The resident heard footsteps and went to investigate, but the commotion spooked the sneak, who fled through a rear door before the victim saw him, a police report states.
Brush with burglars
Two burglars escaped a 97th Street home on April 3 just before the resident caught them red-handed.
The dastardly duo got into the house between Fourth Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway in Bay Ridge by climbing through a bedroom window at 10 pm, police said. The woman heard the loud larcenists and went to investigate, catching a glimpse of two ski mask-wearing men flee through the window, a police report states.
Big gem heist
Crafty crooks stole $36,000 in jewelry from a Bay Ridge Parkway home while the occupants were away between March 28 and April 4.
The thieves entered the home between Fourth and Fifth avenues in Bay Ridge through a rear window, police said.
Cash snatched
A goon grabbed $100 from a woman’s hand on 71st Street on March 2.
The victim was between Eighth Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway at at 8:30 pm when the cretin copped the cash right out of her hand, police said.
Robbed at gunpoint
A good-for-nothing robbed a guy at gunpoint on 94th Street on March 30.
The victim was between Ridge Boulevard and Third Avenue in Bay Ridge at 9 pm when the goon pulled out a handgun and said, “Give me the money and I won’t kill you,” a police report states.
The brute hit his victim in the face, took $200, and fled in a dark sports utility vehicle, police said.
