An end-of-summer adventure – and then some –was in store for revelers as they marched to the jaunty beat of one of Brooklyn's premier parties – the Third Avenue festival.
The annual street spectacle drew thousands of fun-lovers to the stretch between 69th to 94th streets, where they sampled the best of Brooklyn and made merry at scores of vantage points and exhibitor booths.
Marching bands community groups and costumed performers helped transform the avenue into a dynamic boulevard of wondrous sights and sounds.
Showstoppers lining the route included an assortment of live entertainment performed by local bands.
Vying for attention along the way were dozens of vendor booths, offering tempting foods, wares and other goodies.
