Triple play
There were two burglaries in one Vanderbilt Avenue building last week, plus another break-in in a mini-crime wave confined to the same block between Park and Myrtle avenues.
• In the first incident, a thief burgled the residence of three roommates on June 29. The one woman and two men told police that no one was home from 2 to 5 pm. But when they returned, they found the place a shambles. Upon cleaning up, they discovered that two cameras, a laptop computer, a desktop computer, $60, a suitcase and accessories for the computers and camera equipment were all gone.
• An intruder struck the same building on July 4, also hitting a dwelling shared by three people. The victims, all men, said they were not home from 8 am to just after midnight on July 5. The trio believes that the burglar entered through the fire escape to steal a laptop, two cellphones, airline tickets, luggage and gear for the computer and mobile phones.
• A different building was plundered on July 1. In this case, the victims — a man and woman — told police that someone stole a laptop computer and an iPod after busting in through their front door between 5 pm and midnight.
Greedy grab
A mugger robbed a man entering the G train on Lafayette Avenue on June 29.
The victim, 29, said the hoodlum grabbed him from behind at 8 pm near the subway’s Washington Avenue entrance, told him, “Don’t talk,” and stole his cellphone.
Bad trip
A woman landed in the hospital after an argument with a stranger at the Atlantic Avenue subway station on June 14.
The woman, 20, said she had been squabbling with a young man on the train. They both exited the 4 train at the Atlantic Avenue hub at around 4 pm, at which point the brute hit her in the mouth. The victim then returned to the train, but had to go to Kings County Hospital for treatment.
Out of time
A cat burglar stole three luxury wristwatches and a ring from a Greene Avenue on July 1.
The resident, a 44-year-old woman, said she was out of her abode between Adelphi Street and Carlton Avenue only briefly, returning at 7:30 pm. There were no signs of forced entry.
Chop shop
Police arrested a knife-wielding customer who had attacked the Fulton Street bodega’s cashier on July 4.
The suspect 40, had punched the clerk, 21, in the head and then swung a knife several times at the employee in the 1:40 am attack. He was later handcuffed near the corner of St. James Place.
A balling crime
A mysterious shooter blasted a 50-year-old woman with several paint gun pellets on St. Edwards Street on July 4.
The impact from the paintballs bruised the woman, who was hit at 11:30 am between Park and Myrtle avenues, cops said.
