Three on one

Three teenagers mugged a 34-year-old woman shortly at around 5 pm on Jan. 21.

The boys approached the woman near the corner of Washington Avenue and Park Place and one of them said, “This is a robbery.”

One of teens proceeded to choke her while the other two took her cellphone and removed $80 from her wallet before fleeing.

Sabotaged

A thief sabotaged a man’s car on Jan. 14 by stealing crucial parts from the steering column.

The man discovered the crime at around 6:30 pm, when he pulled out his parking spot near St. Marks Place and Fifth Avenue and quickly noticed that he could not change the direction of the car’s wheels.

Upon further inspection, the victim found that the steering pin of the Ford Explorer had been stolen, which rendered the wheel useless.

Bad beating

A 24-year-old man was beaten and robbed near the corner of Underhill Avenue and Prospect Place on Jan. 14.

While walking back from the subway at Grand Army Plaza, the man was grabbed by the collar, pulled to the ground and pummeled in the face with punches and kicks.

After the beating, the attacker removed two iPods, a Nintendo game player, and several credit cards from his victim before fleeing.
