Cyclones 4
Hudson Valley 3
June 23 at MCU Park
The Cyclones used another ninth inning rally to send the game into extra innings for the second-straight night, but this time the team pulled it out in 13, 4–3.
Hudson Valley, which arrived an hour late, was on the precipice of the Renegades eighth-straight win, up 3-2 in the ninth, when Clones center fielder Patrick “To Infinity and” Biondi singled through the hole at second, scoring fielder James “Papa” Roche, home to tie the game at 3.
A free baseball pitchers duel followed for the next three innings before left fielder Jeff King singled and subsequently took second on a Matt “Bright Eyes” Oberste knock. Roche then hit a deep shot to center that landed just out of the reach of Johnny Field (yes, that is his name. Awesome, huh?), bringing home King with the winning run.
The Cyclones will travel to play the Renegades tonight at Dutchess Stadium in Wappingers Falls to begin their week-long road trip.
