They’re cooking up a good deed.
A local community group is hosting a bake sale tomorrow for a 9-year-old Flatlands boy recently diagnosed with advanced brain cancer tomorrow. Locals and members of Millennium Development are slinging cookies, cakes, and other treats at the John Malone Community Center on Saturday to help support the family of PS 203 student David Omoigberai, who is battling the disease.
Food and financial donations are welcome, and money raised will go toward medical costs and defraying income his family has lost by taking time off work, organizers said.
