Toothache for dentist

Monta-gone

A perp broke into a Montague Street dentist office over the weekend of Oct. 18, making off with a giant television set. An employee arrived at work on Oct. 20 and found that the front cylinder lock was broken and the TV was gone from the office, which is at Clinton Street.

Dumb-o

Cops arrested a punk for mugging a DUMBO resident at the corner of Jay and York streets on Oct. 26.

The kid, 15, was with a buddy just after 7:30 pm when they found a victim. One of the dastardly duo punched the man in the face and knocked him to the ground, just as his accomplice started punching and kicking the victim. The first assailant tried to grab the man’s cellphone, but when he wouldn’t give it up, the other kid grabbed the victim’s headphones, and the two punks raced away.

But cops caught up with the hoodlums several blocks later and tied the one kid to the crime because of the headphones.

Slam-burglars

• A perp broke into an artist’s studio on Washington Street on Oct. 20, making off with original artwork and some tools. The 68-year-old artist left his studio, which is between Front and Water streets, on Oct. 20 and came back two days later to find his front door busted open and $1,000 worth of electronics and construction equipment gone, along with $4,500 worth of the artist’s paintings and prints.

• A punk tried to break into an Atlantic Avenue apartment on Oct. 20, but was foiled when he couldn’t break through the front door lock. The resident told cops that she had left the apartment, which is between Nevins Street and Third Avenue, at 8:30 am, but when she came back at 6 pm, her front lock was broken. Thankfully, the second lock held.

• An intruder broke into a Court Street apartment on Oct. 23 and stole a black leather backpack and laptop. The victim left her apartment, which is between Wyckoff and Warren streets, at 8 am, but when she came home 13 hours later, she found the stuff gone.

• A burglar broke into a Gold Street apartment on Oct. 23, making off with two laptops worth nearly $4,000. The thief got into the apartment, which is between Water and Front streets, by pushing in an air conditioning unit sometime after 9:30 am and before midnight.

Bad delivery

Two hoodlums mugged a deliveryman on Dean Street on Oct. 20, stealing his cash, cellphone and bicycle.

The thieves approached the man as he made a delivery between Bond and Hoyt streets just after 9 pm. They told him to empty his pockets, but when he refused, one perp rifled through the pocket and grabbed $60 and a cellphone.

The second perp then grabbed the man’s bicycle, and they tore off down Dean Street.
