Bad delivery
A trio of baddies robbed a delivery man as he was dropping off food on Pacific Street on Aug. 2.
The victim was bringing food to the residence near Nevins Street at 5:45 am when one of the louts snarled, “Give me your money and don’t say anything,” according to police.
The food dude then handed over $90 and some unspecified electronics and the cretins ran off with the loot. The victim still made his delivery, according to a report.
Ball bash
A crew of crooks attempted to rob a Schermerhorn Street shop on Aug. 2 by bashing the worker behind the counter, but failed to get a haul.
The victim told police he was working in the store near Court Street at 12:15 am when the villains came in and attempted to take money out of the register.
One of the rogues hit the victim with a hard ball, cutting his nose and face, and another punched him in the back of the head, according to a report.
But the worms were still unsuccessful in their ultimate goal, and fled empty-handed, police said.
Oldster grab
Some marauder snatched an old man’s bag from his hands on Hicks Street on Aug. 3.
The 82-year-old victim told authorities he was strolling by State Street at 5:30 pm when the knave came from behind and grabbed his bag — containing his credit cards and cash — from his hands and fled.
The day the music died
A woman’s night in the spotlight was cut short when a thief stole her pocketbook while she was singing karaoke in a Willoughby Street bar on Aug. 3.
The victim left her purse on a table at the joint near Lawrence Street while she hit the stage at 8:30 pm, but when she returned for a break, it was gone, police said.
Kid-nope
A miscreant tried to pull a woman into his car on Dean Street on Aug. 4, but couldn’t get a hold of her and stole her phone instead.
The woman was near Bond Street at 5 pm when the lowlife grabbed her by the left hand and tried to pull her into his vehicle, police said.
The lady resisted and she avoided the kidnapping, but the creep did manage to grab her phone before fleeing, according to a report.
Cold hard cash
A thief broke into a Montague Street ice cream shop and stole $500 out of its safe on Aug. 6.
A witness told police she was walking her dog by Henry Street at 11 pm when she noticed the front door had been opened and called 911. Police later discovered that the filcher had swiped $500 from the safe.
