Hate attack
Cops arrested two men who they say were part of a group beat down of a man and woman on Avenue U on Oct. 14 — in an attack that was allegedly racially motivated.
The victims told police they were near E. 58th Street at 7 pm when the suspects and a group of accomplices began beating them, slugging the couple in the face and slamming their heads on the pavement.
Throughout the attack, the victims recalled hearing shouts of “White m————,” “Get those crackers,” and “Get that white w—-,” police reported
Taxi thief
A man was arrested for allegedly stealing a cabbie’s taxi at gunpoint on Avenue J on Oct. 9.
The victim told police that he was in driving near 53rd Street at 4:44 am when his passenger pointed a gun at his head and forced him out of the vehicle.
The suspect climbed into the driver’s seat and speeding off, taking the man’s taxi license, debit card, and iPhone along with the cab, according to court documents.
