The camera loves him

A 30-year-old crook stood in court last week for withdrawing $10,259 of someone else’s money from ATMs on Hoyt and Smith streets using a stolen debit card at various points from Feb. 28 to March 15, police said.

The suspect was caught on security cameras from both ATMs, one in a bank and another in a convenience store.

Lost in the supermarket

A woman reported an identity theft on April 30 — and a wallet lost last August in a supermarket at the intersection of Smith and Baltic streets, police said.

The victim didn’t think much of the missing wallet until last week, when someone else tried to open an account in her name.

Cart blanche

Two men tried to steal a food cart parked at the corner of Hoyt and Degraw streets on April 28, police said. At 8 am, one of the crooks slashed the cart operator’s hand, but failed to capture the culinary cart.

Income taxi

A woman who hailed a livery cab got a nasty surprise on April 22 when the operator stole $19 from her at the intersection of Sackett and Smith streets, police said.

The crime happened at about 3 am, with a cab hailed from 6th Avenue and 4th Street in Manhattan.

Biking and entering

A big jerk stole two high-end bikes from a garage at the intersection of President and Hoyt streets at some point from March 22 to April 16, police said.

Oedipilfer

An ungrateful, 21-year-old son stole lots of expensive technology, jewelry and other valuables from his mother’s Dwight Street home on April 24, police said.

The theft happened at about 7:35 pm near Coffey Park, police said. The stolen items included a Sony laptop, a cell phone, and an mp3 player.
