Hej…
Bay Ridge morphed into the Land of the Midnight Sun, drawing mom, dad and the kids to make merry with like−minded revelers – Scandinavian−style – during the annual Viking festival at Owl’s Head Park.
The emerald empire – also known as Bliss Park at 68th Street and Colonial Road – kicked off the area’s tribute to Norseland, featuring traditional arts and crafts, Scandinavian fare, re−enactors, plus an exhibit of a replica Viking ship.
In the entertainment segment, “Touched by the Vikings,” visitors enjoyed a medley of entertainment from the melting pot, including performances by a Norwegian band, Celtic pipers, Turkish drummers and ethnic dancing from members of Young Dancers in Repertory.
