Easy sweep

Some nogoodnik stole a wallet from a car parked on Strickland Avenue on Jan. 2.

The victim told cops she left her car unlocked near E. 59th Place around 9 am as she was taking her child to school. When she returned to her vehicle, she told officers her billfold — containing some cash, driver’s license, and two credit cards — was missing.

Wired theft

A fraudster stole more than $3,700 from an E. 59th Street woman on Jan 5.

The woman, who lives near Avenue J, told police that around 3 pm someone used funds from her savings account to make purchases at a department store and a television provider.

Rob thy neighbor

An Avenue M woman suspects her landlord of stealing from her apartment on Jan 3.

The woman told police that she is in process of moving, but while she was at the residence near E. 66th Street, someone came in and took her lease agreement, a tool kit, and a camera, according to the police report.

Phone robbery

Two goons robbed a Ralph Avenue cellphone store on Jan. 2.

The thieves entered the store near Avenue J around 12:45 pm and fled with two smartphones, according to the police report.

Car break-in

Someone broke into a vehicle parked on E. 45th Street sometime overnight on Jan. 2.

The victim told police that he parked his car near Avenue M around 11 pm, with his wallet inside. The next morning received a phone alert that someone tried to use his credit card, which was in his wallet, he told cops.

When he got to the car he found the back rear passenger-side window broken and a handbag containing two credit cards and a debit card gone, according to the report.
