Art attack

Police arrested a 26-year-old woman for allegedly ransacking an art gallery on Flushing Avenue on June 22.

The woman broke into the gallery at Porter Avenue at 3:10 am and damaged several pieces of framed art as well as a number of glass and ceramic items, police say.

The suspect is also charged with stealing two prints from the gallery.

Carbonated crime

A 25-year-old man was arrested for assaulting an emergency medical technician and obstructing medical care on Broadway on June 29, police say.

The technician was attending to a patient between Marcy Avenue and Havemeyer Street at 4:25 am when the man allegedly threw soda on the patient before trying to stop the medic from retrieving supplies from an ambulance by standing in front of the vehicle.

When the man was told to stop throwing soda, he began to punch the ambulance driver, causing his face to swell, cops say.

Shoulder stabbing

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for allegedly stabbing a woman on Humboldt Street on June 29.

The victim was between Seigel and Boerum streets at 12:24 am when the man is believed to have stabbed her in the shoulder with a knife. Cops say he was also seen punching another person while holding the weapon.

The woman was treated at a nearby hospital.
