Creepy home invader
A disturbing burglar broke into an Avenue L home on Sept. 30, police said.
The homeowner told police that she was sleeping in her house near E. 52nd St. around 2 am, when she heard a loud sound coming from the ground floor. When she awoke and sent her sons to investigate, they discovered a man standing in the middle of the stairway, cops said. Upon asking the marauder what he was doing, he replied “I don’t know,” and walked back down and left through the front door. Cops say one of the woman’s sons identified the man as someone he was hanging out with earlier in the day. According to the report, the front door was kicked in and badly damaged, and some drawers were open, but nothing was taken.
Pre-dawn heist
A burglar broke into an E. 32nd St. home on Sept. 26.
The homeowner told police that he was inside his home near Avenue J before going to bed at 2 am, and awoke an hour later to find his back door held wide open with a cinderblock. The man admitted to cops about leaving his rear door unlocked, and the thief got away with the his computer, a headset, and some cash, according to the report.
Overnight ripoff
A brigand robbed another E. 32nd St. home sometime overnight on Sept. 26.
The homeowner told police that sometime between 11 pm and 6:45 am, someone gained entry to his home near Avenue J through a rear door and fled with a laptop, a backpack, and cash, according to cops.
Tool and fly
Someone stole a bunch of tools from a Flatbush Ave. construction site between Sept. 26 and Sept. 29.
A site manager told police that on Sept. 29 he discovered that a bandit had entered the location near the Belt Parkway, through an unlocked door took more than $1,100 worrth of tools, according to cops.
