You’re invited to “Brooklynati” on July 8, when local hip−hop group Tanya Morgan play Southpaw.
The name of the group’s latest album, out this spring on Independent Media, it’s also the name of a fictitious city Tanya Morgan created that combines elements from Cincinnati, Ohio and Brooklyn.
Hear their creation live when they play the Park Slope venue this month, fresh off a stellar show at last month’s Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival.
Also on the bill that night are local hip−hop talent including Torae and Marco Polo, as well as Che Grand and Brown Bag All−Stars.
The show starts at 9 p.m. (doors at 8 p.m.). Tickets are $10 in advance, available for purchase at www.ticketweb.com, and $12 at the door.
