Three cheers and break out the bubbly for Rosaline Maude Thompson-Archer. The centenarian will turn the magic number on Feb. 3.
Rosaline was born in Georgetown, Guyana, to parents Reginald Thompson and Victoria Alleyne in 1918. In 1966 she married the late Albert Archer.
The angel of mercy started her nursing career and training at the Georgetown Hospital in Guyana and then followed her dreams to Aruba, and later here in the states. In 1967 she obtained her nursing license as a registered nurse, later receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Saint Francis College. The Flatbush resident then worked in the medical arena for the next 25 years before retiring from Maimonides Medical Center. Among her many yeares of service and accomplishments, our pal was named nurse of the year in 1981 while in her employ at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.
Standing O wishes Rosaline many more happy b-days to come.
