Violent customer cuffed
Police arrested a 27-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted a Downtown shopkeeper on Jan. 15
According to the 67-year-old victim, the alleged perp entered the Livingston Street store after midday trying to return an item. The disgruntled customer became irate while disputing with the worker and punched him in the side of the head.
Responding officers arrested the 27-year-old man while EMS tended to the injured shopkeep.
Thief beats man for cellphone
A 26-year-old man was attacked and had his phone stolen while walking home from work on Jan. 16 in Downtown.
The victim told cops he was set upon by a stranger while passing the Holiday Inn on Schermerhorn Street just before midnight.
The unknown perp knocked the victim to the ground with a punch to the back of the head, and proceeded to kick him about the body and face while he lay on the ground.
Cops said they are checking nearby cameras to identify the perp who stole the victims phone before fleeing the scene on foot.
Cops bag attempted mugger
An attempted mugging in Boerum Hill ended in the arrest of a 47-year-old man on Jan. 20.
The victim, a 29-year-old woman, reported that she was walking down Atlantic Avenue at around 10 p.m. when a man came behind her and grabbed her handbag.
After a brief struggle, the woman managed to get away with her belongings and called police. Nearby officers arrested a 47-year-old twenty minutes later.
