Citi Bike strife
A deliverista had their CitiBike stolen by a knife-wielding man on Feb.1 in Clinton Hill.
The 26-year-old delivery worker said he left SmashBurger on Dekalb Avenue after picking up an order at around 8:30 p.m. when he noticed a man near his rented bike.
The man proceeded to pull out a knife and “menacingly” waved it at him before riding off on the unlocked bike in the direction of Flatbush Avenue, according to the victim. The bike has yet to be recovered.
Over Zelle-ous
A man was held and gunpoint and forced to transfer $2,500 to a pair of thieves in Clinton Hill on Jan. 29
The 49-year-old victim reported to cops that he was waiting for a friend by the intersection of Adelphi Street and Park Avenue when he was approached by two men, one of whom was displaying a firearm, at around 8:40 p.m.
After taking the man’s phone, one of the perp’s transferred $2,500 to themselves on the man’s Zelle app, before fleeing down Park Avenue.
Cops say they are hoping to track the thieves via the phone number they used to receive the stolen money on the banking app.
Moped muggers
Officers from the 88th Precinct are looking to track down two moped-riding muggers who snatched a woman’s purse in Clinton Hill on Feb.3
According to cops, the 55-year-old woman was walking down Vanderbilt Avenue at 5:40 p.m. when two men riding a black moped rode up behind her, quickly snatching her purse.
The men fled southbound on Vanderbilt Avenue with the purse that contained cash and personal belongings.
