A ‘Dynamite’ way to beat alcohol and drug abuse

Big-hearted Brooklynites waged war against two potential killers by putting their best foot forward during a benefit walk to mark “National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month.”

A large crowd of participants kicked off the 11th annual jaunt along the Bay Parkway/Shore Road Bike Path to the Verrazano Bridge, presented by Dynamite Youth Center (DYC) to raise awareness about adolescent substance abuse treatment and its recovery process.

For more than three decades, Dynamite Youth Center has been offering therapeutic services to youngsters, 13-25.

The state-licensed, not-for-profit, long-term adolescent substance abuse treatment program, which has a Brooklyn-based day service facility at 1830 Coney Island Avenue and a residential facility in Fallsburg, New York.
