King’s Landing is coming to Kings County.
A few thousand lucky fans will get the chance to catch the highly anticipated first episode of the fourth season of “Game of Thrones” at the Barclays Center on March 20 — more than two weeks before all the other lowly servants in the kingdom get to view it.
“To create an event that matches the excitement of the viewers and the epic scale of this series, we knew we had to do something really special,” HBO advertising head Zach Enterlin said in a statement. “‘Game of Thrones’ has become a truly global sensation thanks to the show’s incredibly dedicated and loyal fans.”
The “Epic Fan Experience,” as HBO has coined it, will feature costumes, armor, swords, crowns, and other props worn by characters on the show. The coveted Iron Throne will also be there, and attendees will have the chance to have their photo taken on the seat of power.
Tickets will go on sale at Ticketmaster at 10 am on March 6, and you won’t even have to pay the iron price to get one — just $15. Be ready to do battle, though — just 7,000 are available.
