Public School 255 students helped put the bloom on spring for Brooklyn seniors by visiting a local elder facility for a day of beautification.
The green-thumbed group made the trek to Midwood Active Adults, 4815 Avenue I, where the young and the young-at-heart teamed up to plant trees and flowers in the garden, courtesy of a program provided by Millennium Development.
“It is extremely exciting to see the older generation and the younger generation working together, hand-in-hand, helping to enrich our community,” said Center Director Jackie Florio.
The plantings honored Anne Pores, a member of the senior center, who passed away in early April.
