To The Editor:
Shavana Abruzzo, (“A Britisher’s View”), I just read your beautiful column on Paul Newman [RIP: Paul Newman, 1925-2008).
Husband, father, grandfather, actor, businessman and the titles can go on. What a dignified gentleman he was. I was a fan of his while growing up and all these years.
Although I knew he was married to Joanne Woodward, I never realized they had five children and eight grandchildren.
To keep his private life private is something his family should be proud of especially in this day where none of Hollywood’s stars is safe.
May he rest in peace and God bless his family!
