Suckerpunched
A brutish baddie beat and robbed a guy in the early-morning hours of May 10 on 66th Street, police said.
The guy was walking home near Eighth Avenue around 12:30 am when the guy came up from behind him, sucker-punched him, grabbed $2,000 and his car keys, and fled, according to police.
Five guys
A group of five good-for-nothings robbed a guy at gunpoint on 77th Street on May 14, according to a police report.
The victim had just parked his car and was walking home near Shore Road around 3 am when the goons rolled up on him and demanded he hand over everything he had. The victim resisted at first, prompting one tough to pull out a handgun and force the guy down to the ground, telling him, “Get on the floor, you don’t want to die.”
Then the group went through the guys pockets, grabbing $28,000 in cash he had on him, his iPad, phone, laptop, and more, according to police.
Hot spot
Tire-and-rim thieves struck along Shore Road again on May 9, police said.
The victim parked his Mercedes-Benz near 94th Street around noon that day and came back 24 hours later to find all four of his wheels were missing, setting him back $4,000. The man told police his neighbor was a recent victim of tire-and-rim thieves in the same area.
Cash grab
Thieves grabbed some cash from a parked car that a woman left on 72nd Street from May 9 to May 11, police said.
She parked her car between 10th and 11th avenues around 7 pm on that Monday and came back around 5:30 pm a few days later to find $900 and a couple credit cards were long gone, according to authorities. The woman told police she may have left the doors unlocked.
