To The Editor:
I’ve been following the Methodist church news. It’s most interesting that the Bay Ridge United Methodist is meeting at Good Shepherd.
You may soon hear something about their building. When they recently hosted the art fair, there was a distinct odor (mildew or something else) coming from the corner of the back basement room. Most likely due to dampness, possibly water seepage into very old brick.
All of these landmark buildings are lovely but have been maintained with donations, patched as well as the money will stretch, but there comes a time when you either have to sink big bucks into property, or start from scratch.
This applies equally to homes as churches.
