Alternatives to NCLB

The Brooklyn Society of Ethical Culture (BSEC) will sponsor the first in a series of forums to establish a community discussion about alternatives to the “Leave No Child Behind” program and mayoral control of the city schools.

The seminar, “What Is Wrong With Our School? Why High-Stakes Tests Will Not Solve The Problem,” June 8 from 2-4 p.m. at BSEC, 53 Prospect Park West.

Presenters include members of the school community, moderated by Dr. Joel Shatzky, Professor Emeritus, SUNY, Cortland.
