Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz presented citations and proclamations to celebrate the return of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater to the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Recipients included Judith Jamison, artistic director of Alvin Ailey, and Linda Shelton, executive director of the Joyce Theater.
For their special 50th anniversary spring season, The Joyce Theater will presented “Classic Ailey” and “Best Of” programs at BAM’s Howard Gilman Opera House, 30 Lafayette Avenue.
