Budding performers ushered in the holidays with a rip-roaring performance of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at Edward R. Murrow High School.
The talented bunch engaged the crowd with a dulcet repertoire of classics and popular favorites, which had audience members clapping and toe-tapping along as costumed students put forth the story of Joseph from the Hebrew Bible’s Book of Genesis in the auditorium of the school, 1600 Avenue L.
Based on the “coat of many colors” story, the light-hearted musical was first presented as a 15-minute pop cantata in London in 1968.
