An ‘important juncture’ for LICH

Long Island College Hospital of Brooklyn kicked off its 150th year of serving the Brooklyn community with a reception hosted by Dominick Stanzione, Interim President.

“LICH is at an important juncture,” said Stanzione. Decisions made now are improving the future physician and patient experience at LICH.”

Speaking to more than 100 friends, supporters and donors, Stanzione provided updates on LICH’s affiliations and community partnerships.

Additionally, he discussed enhancements to LICH’s major clinical services, such as Therapeutic Hypothermia for heart attack victims and the new “Volcano” Intravascular ultrasound system.

Michael Vatch, CEO of SeniorCare Emergency Medical Services, spoke on behalf of LICH’s clinical affiliates.

“SeniorCare and other medical services providers are proud to contribute to LICH’s well deserved reputation as a premier medical and teaching hospital,” he said. “We are proud to be their partners in care.”

Pleased with the show of support to LICH, Stanzione added, “Our valuable friends and supporters help us meet the challenges of the changing healthcare industry while continuing to provide the highest quality healthcare available.”
