Talk about party animals!
Brooklyn Heights Veterinary Hospital threw a shindig on Friday night to celebrate reopening after more than a year of renovations, and its top animal doctor says it felt great to finally show off its new digs.
“It’s a nice idea being able to have people in the community come in and have a space that’s local,” said head vet Dr. Heather Thomson, who said most of her patients are cats and dogs, along with the odd rabbit.
The updated office at Hicks and Cranberry streets now features a full surgery, a dental suite, multiple exam rooms, and X-ray facilities.
And bohemian pet owners can now employ acupuncture and herbal medicine to tame their pet’s problems — the office employs a healer that specializes in alternative medicine for furry friends.
Pets and their owners celebrated the center getting back into business with some chow and drinks, and Thomson said the evening was cat-fight free — all of the attending animals and humans got along just fine.
