Police cars torched. Stores looted. Buildings ignited. Streets stormed. Bridges and highways closed. Gun shots fired into the sky imperiling planes. Soldiers dispatched to restore order.
Black anarchists raged, rioted, and burned down their community while Occupy Wall Streeters crawled out of the white woodwork in mushy-pea solidarity, turning America into a war zone after a grand jury decided not to indict a white cop in the fatal August shooting of an unarmed black teen in Ferguson, Missouri.
We went down that tiresome road last year when race-baiters in East Flatbush trashed public property, looted stores, attacked people, and hurled bricks and bottles after cops killed career-criminal Kimani “Kiki” Gray, 16, for allegedly pointing a gun at them, later recovering a loaded revolver at the scene. We also went down it during the Crown Heights riots in 1991, when unchecked black-on-white racism jumpstarted a white flight, scared-off tourists, and debilitated the city. In fact, we’re dragged down that boring beltway each time black America thinks itself above the law. Time for the bellyaching to belly up.
Officer Darren Wilson was defending himself when he killed Michael Brown, a suspect in a strong-arm robbery that occurred minutes before he was gunned down for assaulting and charging the cop, the legal panel concluded. Yet insurgents — in the White House all the way down to the street — are too busy imploding America over this overblown case to notice the dangerous repercussions. The Islamic State is inciting rioters on social media to murder and behead cops and politicians, offering to send its thugs to Fergustan, while the Council on American-Islamic Relations is calling for the “tyranny” to be met with “resistance.”
Black America and its assorted hangnails should opt for self-reflection if they want to improve negative cop-community relations, while all anarchists enraged by the rule of law should turn their attentions to a world without the land of the free. Imagine what a bleak, brutal, unforgiving, hateful, vengeful, oppressive wasteland that would be, devoid of a single human right and where death would be better than life — even on a good day.
