To The Editor:
This is in response to Arthur Goldberg’s recent letter, regarding a neglected dog, and a very caring person, Tammy Grimes, who rescued this abused animal.
I was very surprised that the humane society in that area would not take any action to help this woman, or the dog.
I would like to pass on the following information if anyone finds themselves in a similar situation. Try contacting PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), which has an Investigation & Rescue operation for cases such as this. It is headquartered in Virginia.
I would also like to say, heaven bless Mr. Goldberg for reporting this incident. If Ms. Grimes sought help from PETA, it may help her appeal her verdict and see true justice is served.
