The 13th Annual Cinco de Mayo 5K Run is slated for May 2, 11 a.m. (rain or shine) in Prospect Park.
There will be post race refreshments by Jarritos, T-shirts, children’s races, raffles, and live music by Banda Agava and DJ Imperio Azteca.
The top overall male and female winners will receive an all expenses paid trip to compete in the Modesto Carrion Half-Marathon (male) and 10K (female) in Juncos, Puerto Rico in November 2010. The top three overall male and female runners will also receive food and accommodations expenses to compete in the International 10Km La Carrera del Migrante – La Mixteca in Puebla, Mexico, January 29, 2011.
The start and finish is at Bartel Pritchard Square, 15th Street & Prospect Park West, corner of the park entrance. For pre-registration details, visit www.camny.org. Race day registration is at Prospect Park near 15th Street from 8-10:30 a.m.
