Another artful ‘First Thursdays’ in DUMBO

Art lovers flocked to Front Street before the holiday weekend (and the heatwave) to take in DUMBO’s latest “First Thursdays” open house on a picture-perfect summer night.

As always, 111 Front Street remained the epicenter of the scene, with hundreds of fans swarming into A.I.R. Expedition Sweden, the Wish You Were Here 9 annual postcard benefit show, and Kris Graves Projects, which featured the inventive cartography of artist Tamar Cohen.

Over at Collective Consciousness on Jay Street, Alexander Korsmo’s photography of chain link fences in the Navy Yard and Bushwick caught our eye, as did the work of Ema, Alexis Trice, and Josh McCutchen at Mighty Tanaka, a couple blocks away.

If you missed the show, fear not. Many exhibits will be on display for the next month. And there’s always First Thursdays in August.
