Youngsters had an egg-cellent time running around filling their baskets with colorful eggs and petting farm animals during the annual Easter egg hunt at the Aviator Sports and Events Center in Marine Park on April 15.

But the best part for one 4-year-old was milking a cow — something that impressed her twin brother and mom, who were both too chicken to try it themselves, said her Midwood mother.

“My daughter milked the cow, my son only pet the cows,” said Regina, who asked to only use her first name. “She’s very brave, not me. I didn’t do that, ‘I was like, I can’t do that.’ ”

All of the fluffy friends were a huge hit, and 2-year-old Jayla Johnson couldn’t get enough of petting the cute, floppy-earred bunnies, said her dad Edwin Johnson, whose son also had a great time.

“She enjoyed the little kiddy farm, the bunnies, and petting little bunnies and guinea pigs,” said Johnson, from Canarsie. “She fed every animal. They had a lot of fun.”

Kids also had an opportunity to hitch a hayride, operate a bulldozer, and play in the fun house. Families can always count on the events at Aviator Center in Floyd Bennett Field for fun during every season, said Shane Deshong, whose 2-year-old daughter loved petting the animals.

“Aviator is a great place to take your kid. It’s not too far, and there’s parking,” said Johnson, who lives in Midwood. “We took a picture of the bunny rabbit that was there, she pet all the animals.”
