Double bilkers
Three thugs mugged an 18-year-old at gunpoint early on May 19.
The victim told police that he was near the corner of Third Avenue and 76th Street at around 4 am when a black SUV drove past him and doubled back.
Three men leaped from the gas-guzzler, and one pulled a gun while his two accomplices rifled the victim’s pockets, taking his wallet, cellphone and Sidekick, officials said.
Wheel whisk
A thief stole the tires off of a brand new Honda on 72nd Street on May 17.
The car’s owner told cops that she had parked the 2009 model near Third Avenue at 3 pm, but when she returned just before 7 am the next day, she discovered that both driver’s-side tires and rims had been removed and the car was teetering on a jack.
The wheels cost $1,350 to replace, cops said.
The same thing happened to a different driver, as we reported last week.
Dough cutters
Three teens were arrested last week after they robbed another teen in a neighborhood pizzeria on May 25, officials alleged.
Prosecutors charged all three — a 16-, 17- and 19-year-old — with robbery, grand larceny menacing, criminal possession of a stolen property and criminal possession of a weapon.
The mugging took place inside Ben’s Pizzeria on Third Avenue near 81st Street at around 7:20 pm. Cops say that one of the suspects waited outside while the other two approached the victim and demanded $10.
When the teen said he didn’t have any money, the suspect grabbed a sharp metal object and threatened to stab the victim, prosecutors say.
That prompted the victim to hand over his wallet, which contained $14 and a gift card.
